The Maes Manor Hotel is situated in the heart of the Welsh Valleys, set in acres of wooded grounds and beautiful landscaped gardens. The house was built in 1892 and was the home of Captain Edmund Williams who was the local mine owner of his day and also held office as the High Sheriff of Monmouthshire. The Maes Manor was converted into a Hotel in 1971. Over the past three years the Hotel has been restored and upgraded to the fine Grade 2 listed building that you see today. The Maes Manor Hotel has twenty-eight bedrooms, half of which are in the main house and the remainder in the coach house. All have been recently refurbished to a high standard. The composition of the rooms are a mix of double and twin bedded rooms, two deluxe rooms and family rooms. The superb cuisine at Maes Manor has made our Seasons Restaurant one of the most popular dining venues in the area. The menus are a combination of classical and traditional British dishes and are changed seasonally. For many years now the Hotel has been a prime venue for banqueting and the candlelit ballroom is the largest of its kind in the area and can seat up to two hundred and ten with dancing for two hundred and forty for dinner service. Our cuisine is exceptional and we are hosts for many social occasions throughout the calendar year. We offer a varied selection of menus and can give our clients tailor made packages to suit your event. The Maes Manor has two rooms sanctioned with a licence for civil marriages, and has become a popular wedding option as we can facilitate both the marriage and the wedding breakfast under one roof, coupled with the fantastic photograph locations the grounds have to offer the Hotel has become renowned for its wedding banquets. A wedding brochure is available upon request. Maes Manor has also become a very popular venue for business meetings. Our large Islywn Suite can accommodate up to two hundred people seated in a theatre arrangement. The Monmouth Suite is ideal for smaller events where theatre style settings can seat up to twenty eight. We are always willing to show total flexibility with all of your requirements.
